SCAT – March Newsletter

2010 has been a GREAT year so far!! Thank you to all who helped out with the B/C Championship in January. ALL our volunteers did a great job and are an essential part in making our meet run smoothly. Because of your support in donating and volunteering for concessions, we made $1600.00 plus $500.00 at the high school District meet. A special thank you to Elaine Dallas who headed up this endeavor – she did a FABULOUS job and we are VERY grateful for her willingness to step up and “take the reigns”. Concessions were a HUGE success.

DATES TO REMEMBER:

March 13-14 – Valley Coast Swim Meet in Newport

March 22-April 2 – Spring break for our swimmers. Take a break, relax, and get ready to gear up for the spring and summer seasons!!! ýý

May 8-9 – North Bend Invitational – Mother’s Day weekend – this is a HOME MEET – we would like to see as many of you participate as possible.

You will soon be receiving our Spring/Summer meet schedule. Be sure to get those back to Chris as soon as possible with the meets you plan to participate in.

Many of you may have noticed our newly painted starting blocks for the north side of the pool. Our own Alyssa Monohon worked VERY hard at sanding and painting them as a part of her Girl Scout Bronze Award project. Thank you Alyssa, you did a GREAT job!!! ýý
